A group of about 40 local and foreign artists has launched a joint art project. They worked with “Bain Beirut” to decorate the walls of Achrafieh in Beirut. The project includes one large mural 48 meters long and another 26 meters long. Organizers describe it as a message of love and peace told through art.

Many hands, one mural

Speaking to The Speech, Sarah Sergienko said the work brought together seasoned and beginner artists. Members of her family also took part. Together, they turned small-format paintings into giant murals. The murals reflect Lebanese identity.

More than a beautification project

Participants said the work is more than a visual upgrade for the neighborhood. In their view, it stands for unity and solidarity. They hope the brush of art will spread to every region of Lebanon. They want it to bring people together under one roof of beauty and peace.
