According to Minister Kamal Shehadeh, Lebanon has something far more valuable than artificial intelligence: “natural intelligence” and the talent and capabilities of its people.
The issue of displaced people and ensuring that citizens receive their rights remains a major challenge and a responsibility for the ministers in the government.
A new Ministry of Technology and Artificial Intelligence has been established with the aim of putting Lebanon on the path toward rapid technological progress, economic growth, and the creation of new job opportunities.
Can Lebanon keep pace with artificial intelligence? The answer is yes. Lebanon’s talent and capabilities are not limited to simply keeping up with technological advances; they could also allow the country to take the lead and become a pioneer in the field.
What Lebanon lacked was the necessary legislation, infrastructure, and political will. The speaker expresses confidence that there is now political will to focus on building the country’s digital infrastructure.
A special session will also be held at the Ministry of the Displaced to discuss the issue and ensure that people’s rights are protected and fully delivered to them.
